We are looking for a hands-on Quality Control Technician who is comfortable working with measurement tools, mechanical systems, and basic electrical components. This role is ideal for someone with a strong attention to detail who enjoys verifying that parts and assemblies meet exact specifications.
You will work closely with production and machining, to support day-to-day measurement, inspection, and operational verification of components and systems.
What Will You Do
Working closely with production and technical teams, you will support the quality and verification of parts and assemblies across the shop.
Quality Control
- Performing dimensional inspections using calipers, micrometers, and other precision tools
- Verifying components and assemblies meet engineering drawings and specifications
- Conducting basic operational checks on systems (pumps, motors, etc.)
- Supporting inspection processes for incoming materials and finished parts
- Recording and documenting inspection results accurately
- Identifying and communicating quality issues or discrepancies
- Collaborating with production and machining to resolve quality concerns
- Supporting continuous improvement of QC processes and documentation
Inventory Control & Material Management
- Receiving and verifying incoming materials against purchase orders and specifications
- Maintaining accurate inventory records (quantities, locations, status)
- Organizing and tracking raw materials, components, and finished goods within the facility
- Performing regular cycle counts and supporting full inventory audits
- Identifying inventory discrepancies and resolving root causes
- Ensuring proper labeling, storage, and handling of parts and materials
- Supporting kitting and staging of parts for production builds
General Shop Support
- Maintaining cleanliness, organization, and calibration of inspection tools and inventory areas
- Supporting a culture of accountability, quality, and operational efficiency
Preferred Experience / Technical Skills
We are most interested in candidates with strong manufacturing fundamentals and a detail-oriented mindset:
- Experience in manufacturing, fabrication, or prototype shop environments
- Provenability to read and interpret technical drawings
- Experience working with tight tolerances and high-precision components
- Familiarity with inventory systems, material tracking, or stock control processes
- Ability to manage time effectively
- Comfortable working both independently and as part of a collaborative team
- Strong communication skills across technical and non-technical teams
Nice to Have / Considered an Asset
- Experience with ERP or inventory management systems
- Proficiency with Microsoft and Google-based tools
- Experience supporting process development or continuous improvement initiatives
